Yep yep, I think it is still quite unclear but it might be due to the warming off the climate somehow or possibly a certain mite (i.e predator) or possibly a virus causing this so called colony collapse disorder.
The weird thing is that no dead bees are found as much as just empty broods. However, this could be explained by the extremely hygienic behavior by the bees where if ill or dying they will not return to the brood.
So I do not know really. I guess will have to wait.
But I think in your case the picture is referring to the weather change effects.
Anyway, buy your honey organic and you will find that at least those bees are kept a little bit better that the others in the U.S honey farming industry.
