Today, Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008, a great man, amazing actor, philantropist (all of the profits from his Food Company called Newman's Own, goes to charities), loving husband (married to Joanne Woodward, with whom he had one of Hollywood's rare long-term marriages. "I have steak at home, why go out for hamburger?" Newman told Playboy magazine when asked if he was tempted to stray), passed away at the age of 82.

It broke my heart when on CNN his wife told anyone who feels sorrow to just..vote.
Such thoughtfulness in times like these i think.
