It is all making me so awfully giddy.

I put up my christmas lights tonight.
They made me think of what I am going to
miss this year:

presents
family
a good ol' Finnish smorgasbord of christmas delicasies
christmas carrols
snow
and
darkness

What I will be getting this year
suddenly seemed like less of a treat:

sun
sand
beach
possibly gifts
my boi
booze
and
barbeque

Oh golly gosh.
Mind you I have already spent two christmases in exile,
lying in some remote and exotic place tanning my little buttocks off.
So I must say:

I MISS MY REAL CHRISTMAS ON THE BLOODY 24TH OF DECEMBER!

SF Ladies

You would've adored these ladies.

We saw them at the outdoor market in the Ferry Building.

They were pretty good singers. People were mezmerized by them.

And then I was off for one more time before the real time.

Burrrrrito

Burrito?

I get queasy whenever I think or see one of these. They're massive and inside are just things all mixed in together, not very appealing to my palate.

I've never had the courage to taste of one these suckers.
However... after all these years,
I had Burrito for lunch today.

Not as horrible as I thought, not even near. Can be messy but delicious.

I found these two babies
lying around in a second hand shop
in this remote little town I passed by
on my miniholiday the other day.

I will be the cutest scientist on
the research vessel,
that's for sure.

As for me, the Family is celebrating it early (Dec. 14, I believe).
