Fresh and Local

Went to the Ferry Building today... And guess what!

It's Dungeness Crab Season!
A bit expensive b/c of the small catch this season, but Oh-so-worth it =).

I love crustacean food; one of my favorites since I was a kid.

    As a marinebiologist I must tell you that Dungeon Crab Season refers to ashort amount of time when almost all of the crab is pulled out of the sea and not enough is left to breed and keep the population alive.

    And yet as a fellow crustacean lover I am thrilled.
    And also eating a tuna steak for dinner tonight.

    Gosh please forgive me my sins dear Sea Godess.

    But please do enjoy your meal.
    All I am saying is make sure
    you know the facts concerning your delish meal yeah?
    I think that is what the crab would want :)
